The Benway School Winter Newsletter Art Department: One of Benway’s students, Ashley, was selected to be part of the art show at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey. Out of 100 schools that submitted art work for the show only 30 pieces were selected. Ashley’s piece of work, which was created by using a variety of pastels, was inspired by Claude Monet’s Bridge over a pond of Water Lilies, 1899. Read More

Benway School Annual Open House

PRESS RELEASE September 2012 Benway School invites you to our annual “Open House” on November 16, 2012 starting at 12:30 PM and ending at 3:00 PM. Benway School is a private state-approved special education program that incorporates state-of-the-art technology (Smart Boards, Smart Tables, and I-Pads) into all classrooms. Benway School Science Fair

Benway’s Science Fair was the perfect ending to our Spirit Week! Using team-building techniques the students had to perform various tasks including: “Building a Jitterbug.” “Egg Drop” from the roof of the building, and “Ping Pong Placement.”  All the students participated and had a great time! Benway’s incentive program also allowed the students to visit the Intrepid Museum.  The entire building was treated to a luxury Coach Bus ride into NYC and everyone was able to see the various aircraft fighters and gunnery tools on board. Benway School Hosts Open House, Wayne NJ OCTOBER 21, 2011 Wayne, NJ—Family members of students with special needs along with Educators in the field are cordially invited to tour Benway School’s new “State-of-the-Art” facility, located at 620 Valley Road, on Friday, October 21st, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM. Guests will be treated to lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the facility and see why Benway has earned the reputation of being a “Unique & Nurturing Environment”. The Fast ForWord Reading Program consists of a series of computer-delivered brain fitness exercises to improve reading, language, and cognitive skills.
